Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Beer Buddy is an alcohol compliance information tool for distributors. It provides access to federal, state, county, and municipal alcohol regulations, geocoded jurisdiction lookup, and AI-powered law summaries.

2. Disclaimer — Not Legal Advice

Beer Buddy provides informational data only. It is NOT legal advice and is NOT a substitute for professional legal counsel. The compliance check results, AI summaries, and law citations provided by Beer Buddy are for informational purposes. You are responsible for making your own compliance determinations. Always consult a qualified attorney for legal questions specific to your situation.

3. Account Terms

Each subscription is tied to one organization. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

4. Subscription and Billing

  • Monthly plan: $200 per state per month
  • Annual plan: $2,160 per state per year (10% savings)
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial billing periods
  • Payment is processed by Stripe

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Beer Buddy
  • Redistribute law data or compliance check results to non-subscribers
  • Use automated tools to access the service beyond normal use
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the compliance engine or AI integration
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

6. Intellectual Property

Beer Buddy owns the platform, software, and curated presentation of legal data. Law text is public domain, but our compilation, summaries, and AI-generated analysis are proprietary. You retain ownership of your compliance check data.

7. Limitation of Liability

Beer Buddy is not responsible for compliance decisions made based on the tool's output. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Beer Buddy against any claims arising from your use of the service, your compliance decisions, or your violation of these terms.

9. Termination

We may terminate your account for:

  • Non-payment of subscription fees
  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Failure of license validation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hinds County, Mississippi.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers via email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
